JAMIE
SIMPSON
Jamie Simpson is a forester with a background in forest ecology and woodlot management. He holds a Master of Science in Forestry degree from the University of New Brunswick, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Acadia University. He’s proud to own and steward a woodlot in southwestern New Brunswick.
Jamie’s forest experience includes working as a logger and forest management planner for private woodlot owners, and developing standards for ‘green’ forest certification. He also carried out numerous land conservation projects with the Nature Trust of New Brunswick, including a conservation easement on a 2,300-acre working forest property.
When not cutting, splitting or stacking firewood, Jamie loves to make music, take photos, climb rocks and ride his bicycle long distances. Recent bicycle adventures include Newfoundland, Quebec and Mexico. Visit
www.jamiesimpson.net for samples of his photographic work.
